LIMITED TRIP:
TRAVEL NOTE: The last 0.3 miles up to the mine is rough.
VEHICLE: High clearance vehicle is required.

MATERIAL: Cerussite is the goal of the collector at the mine. However, nice specimens of bladed barite is common along with amethyst, smoky quartz and some red fluorescent calcite

After the untimely death of Dave Haneline of the Daisy Mountain Rock and Mineral Club (Anthem, AZ), the club decided to rename the Blue Owl in his honor as he was instrumental in obtaining the mine for the club and was enthusiastic about the collecting potential at the mine.
